Breguet
In 1775, A.L. Breguet founded his company and soon became an official supplier to the French Royal family. He invents the first self-winding watch, first repeater, and first tourbillon. He utilized moon phase perpetual calendars, and with the help of Napoleon, he invented the hinged ?half-hunter?. The company was resurrected in the 1980s by the owners of the Parisian Jewelers Chaumet. They later sold the company and after changing hands again the company was purchased by the Swatch Group. Today the company is overseen by Nicholas Hayek the Chairman of the Board of Swatch Group. The company is producing Tourbillons in volume and the future is extremely bright.
